The “deep community roots” slogan relates to the many years of life I’ve lived in Encinitas. Urban Farmers Gene and Kate Aschbrenner will join me in a Zoom conversation about converting some of their greenhouse property to a row farm using the benefits of the new Urban Agriculture ordinance I helped write and get approved by the city council.
My first formal campaign event of the year will be this Friday, 8/28, at 5 p.m., with a Zoom session to discuss what “deep community roots” means to me. My guests will be Mr. Neil Bruington, my Graphic Arts mentor and former Department Chair of the Palomar College Graphic Arts program; I will also discuss “Urban Agriculture” with the owners of Aschbrenner Acres, GV and Kate Aschbrenner.
